How do I disable two-factor authentication?

You can remove 2FA from the Security tab if you really need to. Think twice — 2FA is the difference between a leaked password being annoying and being catastrophic.

1. Open Account Settings → Security.
2. Click the 2FA method that is currently enabled.
3. Type `DISABLE` in the confirmation field (case-sensitive).
4. Confirm. 2FA is removed.

Disabling is immediate. Future sign-ins won't ask for a second factor until you re-enable. If you're worried about losing access to your authenticator, recover with backup codes instead.
