- Bulk email verification: the complete walkthroughUpload CSV or TXT files up to 100 MB or 1 million emails, paste a list, or connect a platform. Track progress, get auto-refunds on unreachable servers, and download clean results.
- Can I cancel a bulk verification that is already running?Valid Email Checker does not currently support canceling a bulk task once it has started. The verification engine runs to completion. If you uploaded the wrong list, contact support — refunds may be possible case-by-case.
- Can I re-download a finished bulk result?Yes — Valid Email Checker lets you re-download a completed bulk result any number of times within the 15-day retention window. After the window closes the per-address data is gone, so download early and back up the file.
- Can I rename a bulk task after uploading it?Valid Email Checker does not currently support renaming a bulk task after it has been created. The list name you enter on the upload form is what shows up on Uploads & Results forever. Pick a meaningful name before you click Start.
- How do I filter results on the Uploads & Results page? The Uploads & Results page in Valid Email Checker has three filters: a search bar for list name, a time-period dropdown (today/yesterday/last 7/last 30 days), and a status dropdown (completed/processing/failed/deleted). All three combine.
- How do I find the bulk upload page in my dashboard? The bulk upload page lives at /bulk-upload in the Valid Email Checker dashboard. Click Bulk Upload in the left sidebar from any signed-in screen, or bookmark app.validemailchecker.com/bulk-upload for one-click access.
- How do I open the per-task detail view from Uploads & Results?Click the View Results link on any completed task row in /uploads-results. Valid Email Checker takes you to /verification-details/:taskId with charts, status breakdown, and the export controls.
- How do I paste emails into bulk upload instead of uploading a file? The /bulk-upload page in Valid Email Checker has a Paste Emails textarea right next to the file drop zone. Paste newline- or comma-separated addresses, name the list, and hit Verify — no file save required.
- How do I verify a list of emails in bulk?Upload a CSV or TXT file in the dashboard's Bulk Upload tab, or paste addresses directly. We process the list in the background and email you when results are ready to download.
- How does VEC bulk upload deduplicate addresses?Valid Email Checker deduplicates bulk uploads by case-insensitive lowercase comparison before verification. The Remove Duplicates toggle is on by default. Duplicates are removed from the count and not charged.
- How fast is bulk email verification?A 10,000-address list typically completes in 5-10 minutes. 100,000 in 15-30 minutes. A million-address list in 1-2 hours. We email you when each finishes.
- How long are bulk results retained on the dashboard?Valid Email Checker keeps per-address bulk verification results for 15 days after the task completes. After that, a scheduled GDPR-cleanup job removes the raw results and the storage files, leaving only the summary counts.
- Troubleshooting bulk upload problemsFile rejected, upload stuck at 0%, results look wrong, or job stuck in processing? The full diagnostic guide for bulk-upload problems, with the specific code paths that handle each case.
- What does each bulk task status mean? (pending / processing / completed / failed)Valid Email Checker uses four task statuses: Pending (accepted, queued), Processing (verification engine actively running), Completed (results available), Failed (could not finish, credits refunded). Each has a distinct UI badge.
- What file formats can I upload for bulk verification?Valid Email Checker accepts CSV and TXT files for bulk verification. CSV preserves your other columns alongside the verification results. Max 1 million emails or 100MB per file.
- What happens if I exceed the 1M emails or 100MB file size limit?Valid Email Checker blocks oversize uploads client-side with a clear error toast and refuses to start the task. No credits are charged and no partial work is done. Split the file into smaller pieces and re-upload.
- What happens if my file has a header row vs no header row? Both work. Valid Email Checker detects a header row by checking the first row for known email-column names. If the first row contains email data instead, the parser auto-falls back to no-header mode and labels columns Column1, Column2, etc.
- What happens to my results after the 15-day retention window? After 15 days, Valid Email Checker deletes the per-address result rows and the original list file from storage. The task row stays on Uploads & Results in a Deleted state with the summary counts preserved. Re-running the task means a fresh upload.
- What is the maximum file size for a bulk upload?Valid Email Checker caps bulk upload files at 100 MB. Files larger than that are rejected client-side before any upload starts. Split oversize CSVs into smaller parts, or remove unnecessary columns to shrink the file.
- What is the maximum number of emails in one bulk job?Valid Email Checker accepts up to 1,000,000 email addresses per bulk verification task. Lists above that need to be split across multiple uploads. The check runs client-side after duplicate removal.
- Which column does VEC use when my CSV has multiple columns?Valid Email Checker detects the email column by header name first (email, e-mail, email_address, mail) and falls back to the first column whose data matches an email regex. Other columns are preserved as carry-through data.
- Why does my CSV preview show extra columns?Valid Email Checker preserves every non-email column from your CSV. The extra columns you see are your original data — names, signup dates, sources — which we carry through to the verification results so you can re-merge later.
- Why is my bulk task stuck on "Processing"?A bulk task can sit on Processing for legitimately long times on large lists or lists with slow corporate mail servers. If progress is genuinely frozen for many hours, refresh the status from Uploads & Results, then contact support.
