Adding members, sharing credits, and role permissions.
- Can I change a team member's role? No. Valid Email Checker has only two roles — owner and team_member — and they are not interchangeable in the dashboard. Ownership transfer and team-member role changes require contacting support and are handled manually after identity verification.
- Can team members see each other's verification history? No. Team members on Valid Email Checker only see their own verification history and Uploads & Results. The owner sees everyone's activity across the whole account. This isolation is enforced at the query level, not just the UI.
- Do team members share my credits?Yes. Team members on Valid Email Checker draw from the same Monthly + Pay-As-You-Go credit pool as the owner. There is no separate balance per member, but every verification is attributed to the member who triggered it.
- Does adding a team member cost extra credits? No. Adding team members to your Valid Email Checker account is free — no per-seat fee, no setup cost, no welcome bonus credits granted to the new member. The new member draws from the shared pool, so you pay only for the credits they consume.
- How do I invite team members to my account?Owners can invite team members from Account → Team. Each invite creates the member account immediately with a system-generated password, then emails them their login credentials. Team members share the credit pool but cannot purchase credits or generate API keys.
- How do I reactivate a suspended team member?Click the green Ban icon next to a suspended member's row on the Team page. Status flips to Active immediately, Valid Email Checker emails them a reactivation notice with a login link, and they can sign back in with their existing credentials.
- How do I suspend a team member temporarily?Click the Ban icon next to a team member's row on the Team page. Suspension is instant — Valid Email Checker terminates their active sessions, blocks new logins, and emails them. Reactivate the same way when you are ready.
- How do team members log in for the first time?Valid Email Checker creates the team-member account instantly when you invite them, then emails their login email plus a generated temporary password. They sign in at /auth/login like any other user and change the password from Security.
- How many team members can I invite to Valid Email Checker? There is no hard cap on team-member seats in Valid Email Checker. Add as many as you need — small agencies run 3-5, growth teams run 10-20, and a few enterprise accounts run 50+. You pay only for credits consumed, never per seat.
- Inviting team members: the complete guideOwners invite teammates from Account → Team. Each invite creates the account immediately with a system-generated password and emails the new member their credentials. Up to unlimited members; no per-seat pricing.
- Managing team members: suspend, reactivate, remove, monitorView team member usage, suspend access temporarily, reactivate, or permanently remove members. Suspended members get logged out and emailed; removed members lose access and can only return via fresh invitation.
- Team member guide: what you can do on a shared accountA guide for team members. What features you have access to, how the shared credit pool works, where to find your personal usage stats, and what to do if you get suspended or removed.
- Troubleshooting team member issuesTeam member cannot sign in, invitation email not received, team member used too many credits, or you need to recover a team member's account? Diagnose by symptom.
- What can a team member do, and what can they NOT do?Team members on Valid Email Checker can verify emails, run bulk uploads, connect their own integrations, view their history, and manage their own profile. They cannot buy credits, generate API keys, view billing, or invite other members.
- What email address does the team-member invite come from?Team-member invites from Valid Email Checker are sent from no-reply@mail.validemailchecker.com via our transactional email provider. The owner's name and email appear in the body and reply-to, so members can recognize who invited them.
- What happens to a team member's verifications when I remove them?Removing a team member from Valid Email Checker deletes their auth account and their team record, but verification history attributed to them stays on the owner account in the audit trail. Their integrations are disconnected and credits already spent are not refunded.
- Why can't team members generate API keys?API keys grant programmatic access to the parent account's credit pool, so Valid Email Checker restricts key generation to the owner. This keeps the audit trail and revocation list in one place rather than scattered across every team-member login.
