Can I pay with cryptocurrency for credit purchases?

Last updated May 19, 2026Subscriptions & billing

Pay-As-You-Go credit packs in Valid Email Checker accept cryptocurrency without any of the limitations that apply to subscriptions. You pick a pack, choose crypto at checkout, CoinPayments generates a wallet address, you send the funds, and once the transaction confirms on-chain the credits land in your PAYG bucket. The flow is essentially as simple as a card purchase, just with confirmation time instead of instant authorisation.

Supported cryptocurrencies

VEC accepts 100+ cryptocurrencies via the CoinPayments processor. The list covers the major chains plus a long tail of altcoins. Common picks:

  • Bitcoin (BTC) — most common, slowest confirmations.
  • Ethereum (ETH) — fast on mainnet, watch gas fees on small purchases.
  • Litecoin (LTC) — cheap fees, fast confirmations.
  • USDT (Tether) — stablecoin, no exchange-rate risk during confirmation.
  • USDC — stablecoin alternative to USDT.
  • Plus 100+ others available in the CoinPayments checkout dropdown.

The flow end to end

  1. Open Buy Credits in the sidebar.
  2. Switch to the Pay As You Go tab and pick a pack.
  3. Click the pack to open the checkout, choose Cryptocurrency as the payment method.
  4. CoinPayments generates a unique wallet address for your transaction (BTC, ETH, USDT, etc.) and shows you the exact amount plus the address as a QR code.
  5. Send from your wallet. Network fee is yours to pay — it does not come out of the credit amount.
  6. Wait for confirmations. VEC marks the transaction completed once CoinPayments reports the payment as confirmed.
  7. Credits land in your PAYG bucket. The Credits History page logs a purchase_payg entry with the transaction details.

Where crypto PAYG differs from card PAYG

  • Confirmation time. Card is instant. Crypto takes minutes to an hour depending on network and chain — see how long crypto confirmation takes.
  • Network fees. You pay the network fee on top of the credit cost. For small packs this matters; for larger packs it amortises.
  • No auto-refill. Auto-refill needs off-session charging, which only cards support. Crypto PAYG is one-off only.
  • No saved wallet. VEC does not store your wallet. Every purchase generates a fresh CoinPayments address.
  • Refund mechanics. Crypto refunds in VEC happen as credit-back, not cash-back. See the refund policy.
Buy bigger packs in crypto
Network fees and the small overhead of waiting for confirmation are the same whether you buy a 1,000-credit pack or a 50,000-credit pack. Most crypto buyers go for the larger packs to amortise the network fee — at smaller pack sizes the network fee can be a measurable percentage of the credit cost.

Crypto for PAYG is the unrestricted side of crypto support in Valid Email Checker. For subscriptions, see can I pay with crypto for a monthly subscription — the answer is yes, with manual renewals.
