Refund Policy

Overview

Valid Email Checker provides every new account with 200 free verification credits at signup. These free credits exist so you can fully evaluate the accuracy and reliability of the service before making any paid purchase. Because every customer has the opportunity to test the service at no cost, all paid credit purchases are final and non-refundable, with the limited exceptions described below.

The 200 free credit trial

Every new Valid Email Checker account receives 200 free verification credits at signup. Use them to verify any email address through our standard verification interface and confirm that the service meets your needs before making a paid purchase. We strongly encourage every prospective customer to use these credits first.

Once you complete a paid purchase, you have done so with full knowledge of the service quality, and the non-refundable terms below apply.

All paid credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except where explicitly stated. This applies to:

  • Pay-As-You-Go credit packages
  • Monthly subscription credits, including the first month
  • Bulk credit orders
  • Auto-refill purchases
  • Cryptocurrency purchases

This includes circumstances where you change your mind, no longer need the credits, accidentally purchased a different package than intended, or have not yet used the credits. The 200 free credit trial exists precisely to prevent these situations.

If you cancel a monthly subscription, you are not charged for future cycles, but no refund is issued for the current period or any previous period. Your remaining Monthly credits stay usable through the end of the current billing period; PAYG credits stay forever. See cancel your subscription for the full cancellation mechanics.

Automatic credit refund for Unknown verifications

While paid credits are non-refundable as a class, individual verification credits are automatically returned to your account whenever a single verification returns an `unknown` result. An unknown result occurs when our engine cannot make a definitive determination — typically because the destination mail server was temporarily unavailable, anti-spam defenses blocked the verification attempt, or the SMTP handshake timed out.

This automatic refund is applied at the verification level, not at the purchase level. The credit returns to your account immediately when the job completes — no support ticket, no claim process — and can be used for any future verification. The refund appears as a row in your credit history log. We recommend retrying unknown verifications later, as the temporary conditions may have resolved.

See refunds and credit returns for the full refund matrix, including duplicate handling and unprocessed bulk emails.

Purchases made through Paddle

Some subscription purchases are processed through Paddle, which serves as the Merchant of Record (MoR) for those transactions. Paddle-processed purchases are governed by Paddle's Refund Policy and applicable consumer-protection law in your country or region. Statutory unconditional refund rights that apply to Paddle purchases include:

  • European Union, EEA, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Turkey, Israel: 14-day unconditional withdrawal right from the date of purchase.
  • South Korea, Brazil, China, Canada: 7-day unconditional cancellation right.
  • Singapore: 5-day unconditional cancellation right.
  • All other regions: Paddle may issue a discretionary refund within 14 days of purchase.

Refund requests for Paddle transactions must be submitted to Paddle directly via the receipt link in your Paddle confirmation email or via paddle.net for support. Valid Email Checker cannot process refunds on Paddle transactions because Paddle, as the Merchant of Record, controls those payments. Once Paddle issues a refund, the corresponding credits are removed from your account automatically.

Service-failure exception

If you experience a service failure that prevents you from using credits you have already purchased, you may be eligible for a refund or replacement credits at our discretion. Service failures include:

  • A documented technical outage on our end that prevented you from completing verifications.
  • A widespread verification failure affecting a substantial portion of a batch you submitted.
  • An accidental duplicate charge for the same purchase.
  • Unauthorized use of your account discovered before substantial credit consumption.

To request a service-failure review, contact support@validemailchecker.com, submit a request through our contact form, or open a chat with our support assistant. You will be asked to describe the issue and provide relevant details such as verification dates, batch identifiers, or error messages. Service-failure refunds are evaluated case-by-case at our sole discretion.

Auto-refill purchases

Auto-refill purchases are non-refundable. Auto-refill is an opt-in feature that triggers credit purchases automatically based on settings you configure. Our interface clearly states this before you enable the feature, and enabling auto-refill constitutes acknowledgment of the non-refundable terms.

Cryptocurrency purchases

Cryptocurrency purchases (made through CoinPayments) are non-refundable due to:

  • The irreversible nature of blockchain transactions.
  • Network fees involved in any reverse transaction.
  • Volatility of cryptocurrency exchange rates.

We are not able to issue monetary refunds in cryptocurrency. In service-failure cases described above, refunds may be issued as account credits rather than cryptocurrency at our discretion.

Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us at support@validemailchecker.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, card company, or payment provider. The vast majority of issues can be resolved through direct communication. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account.
  • Forfeiture of remaining credits.
  • Inability to use the service in the future.

Chargebacks incur significant administrative and processing costs that we absorb. Give us the opportunity to address your concern directly first.

How to submit a refund inquiry

If you believe your situation qualifies under one of the exceptions above:

  • Email support@validemailchecker.com with the email address associated with your account, the date of the purchase, and a description of your situation.
  • Use the contact form on our website.
  • Open a chat with our support assistant from any page in your dashboard.
  • Click "Need help with this purchase?" on the relevant invoice in your Account Settings.

We aim to acknowledge all inquiries within 24 to 48 hours. For Paddle purchases, please contact Paddle directly — we cannot process refunds on Paddle transactions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, pricing structure, or legal requirements. We revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page on each update. Material changes that reduce your refund rights apply only to purchases made on or after the effective date of the change — purchases made under a previous version continue to be governed by the version in effect at the time of that purchase.
