How do I use the free email verifier (no login required)?
The free email verifier on Valid Email Checker lives at /tools/email-verifier and on the homepage as the "Try It Now" widget. Both share the same backend and the same quota. The point of the free verifier is to let you confirm the platform actually works on a real address before deciding whether to sign up for the paid tier — no email collection, no account creation, no card on file.
Step by step
- Open
/tools/email-verifier(or use the Try It Now form on the homepage — same thing). - Paste or type any email address into the input box.
- Wait a fraction of a second for the invisible Cloudflare Turnstile captcha to complete. It usually flashes a spinner and clears itself; you only see a real challenge if your traffic looks unusual.
- Click Verify.
- About two seconds later, the result panel appears with the canonical status (Safe / Invalid / Disposable / Catch-All / Role Account / Spam Trap / Disabled / Inbox Full / Unknown) and a count of how many verifications you have left for the day.
What the result tells you
The status is the same one the paid dashboard returns — Valid Email Checker runs the public verifier on the same 11-step engine, with the same provider stack, the same SMTP handshake, the same disposable and role and spam-trap detection. The only difference is the response is stripped to the canonical status (no risk score, no domain breakdown, no boolean flag list); paying customers get the full report on every check. See difference between free verifier and dashboard for the side-by-side.
Daily quota
- 3 verifications per 24-hour rolling window from a normal residential IP.
- 1 verification per 24-hour rolling window if you are coming from a VPN, Tor exit, or datacenter IP — see why am I limited to 1 per day from a VPN or datacenter IP.
- Quota is tracked by a SHA-256 of IP + browser fingerprint. Switching browsers does not reset it. Switching networks (e.g. mobile to wifi) does.
When the quota runs out
When you hit the daily limit the form shows a "limit reached" message and the Verify button is disabled until the rolling window expires. There is no way to bypass this for individual checks — but signing up takes 30 seconds and lands 200 credits on the account immediately, which is enough to verify a real list. The free tools index summarizes the rest of what is available without an account.
