How do I select a specific Mailjet list to verify?

Mailjet uses two-key authentication (API Key + Secret Key) and organizes recipients into Contact Lists. Valid Email Checker reads your Mailjet Contact Lists via their REST API and surfaces them in the standard searchable picker. Credential setup, including the two-key handshake, is in the Mailjet integration guide.

Opening the picker

  1. Open Integrations in the VEC sidebar.
  2. Find the Mailjet row in Connected Integrations.
  3. Click the three-dot menu and pick Sync Now.
  4. A modal opens with the Mailjet logo, the connection name, and the list picker.
  5. Pick exactly one Contact List using the radio button.

What appears in the picker

  • Contact Lists — every Mailjet Contact List visible to the connected key pair.
  • Subscriber counts — pulled live from Mailjet for each list.
  • Search field — filters by name in real time.

Mailjet segments and contact properties are not exposed as separate selectable rows. If you want to verify a subset defined by contact properties, build a Mailjet Contact List that materializes that subset first, then pick it in the VEC picker.

Sizing the cost

The credits-needed line at the bottom of the modal uses the Mailjet subscriber count. Duplicate removal (on by default) lowers the actual spend. Unknown-status results refund automatically. A 20,000-contact list typically costs 18,000-19,500 credits in practice.

Two-key auth peculiarities
Mailjet's API and Secret Keys can be regenerated independently. If your VEC connection suddenly fails, check whether one of the two values was regenerated since you connected. The Mailjet integration guide covers the reconnect flow. Pair with the action-options FAQ for cleanup defaults.

Refreshing list data

Click the refresh icon at the top of the modal. VEC re-queries Mailjet's API and updates subscriber counts in place. Useful after adding contacts to a list or creating new Contact Lists.

After picking the list

Choose Verify Only (default — Mailjet data untouched) or Clean List Automatically below the picker. Hit Import List, and you are redirected to Uploads & Results to watch progress.

Troubleshooting

  • Contact List missing — make sure both the API Key and Secret Key were pasted at connect time. Mailjet requires both for read scope.
  • Empty picker — the Mailjet account has no Contact Lists yet. Build one in the Mailjet dashboard first.
  • Subscriber count zero — the list exists but has no active contacts. VEC blocks Import on zero-count lists.
