How do I select a specific GetResponse list to verify?
GetResponse calls their lists "Campaigns" — a confusing name choice given that in most email tools "campaigns" means the email broadcasts themselves. Valid Email Checker maps these to the standard list picker concept. Tag-based segments are also available. Credential setup is covered in the GetResponse integration guide.
Opening the picker
- Open Integrations from the VEC sidebar.
- Find your GetResponse connection in Connected Integrations.
- Click the three-dot menu and pick Sync Now.
- A modal opens with the GetResponse logo and the list picker.
- Pick exactly one row using the radio button.
What appears in the picker
- Campaigns — GetResponse-speak for subscriber lists. Each Campaign has its own opt-in confirmation settings, autoresponders, and broadcasts.
- Tag-based segments — subscribers grouped by GetResponse tags.
- Subscriber counts — pulled live from the GetResponse API for each Campaign and tag.
- Search field — filters by name in real time.
Funnels and contact segments built with multi-criteria filters are not selectable directly. If you want to verify a complex segment, materialize it into a tag in GetResponse first, then pick that tag in the VEC picker.
Sizing the verification cost
The credits-needed line at the bottom of the modal uses the GetResponse subscriber count. Duplicate removal (on by default) lowers the actual spend. Unknown-status results are automatically refunded after verification. Combined, expect actual credit consumption to land 5-15% below the displayed estimate on a typical list.
Refreshing list data
Click the circular refresh icon at the top of the modal. VEC re-queries the GetResponse API and updates the picker in place. Use after creating new Campaigns, importing subscribers, or applying bulk tag changes.
After picking the list
Below the picker, choose Verify Only (default) or Clean List Automatically. Verify Only is recommended for first-time runs on any new Campaign. Hit Import List to start the verification, and you are redirected to Uploads & Results to track progress.
Troubleshooting selection
- Campaign missing — your GetResponse API key may lack read access on that Campaign. Regenerate the key with full account scope.
- Empty picker — the GetResponse account has no Campaigns yet, or the API key cannot read any of them.
- Subscriber count zero — the Campaign exists but has no active subscribers. VEC blocks the Import button to save a wasted call.
