How do I select a specific AWeber list to verify?
AWeber organizes everything around the List abstraction — each list is a separate subscriber container with its own opt-in confirmation settings, broadcasts, and follow-up sequences. Valid Email Checker mirrors that model: pick one list per verification, and the import covers only the subscribers in that list. Connecting and credentials are covered in the AWeber integration guide.
Opening the AWeber list picker
- Sign into VEC and open Integrations from the sidebar.
- Locate your AWeber connection in the Connected Integrations table.
- Click the three-dot menu on the row and choose Sync Now, or trigger the same modal from the Bulk Upload flow.
- The modal opens with the AWeber logo at the top and a refresh icon on the right.
- Browse, search, or scroll to find the right list, then pick it with the radio button.
What the list picker shows
- List name — exactly as it appears in AWeber.
- Subscriber count — the total active subscribers in the list according to AWeber.
- Search field — filters by list name in real time. Helpful when an AWeber account has many lists.
AWeber tags are not exposed as a selectable list. If you want to verify a tagged subset of subscribers, build an AWeber segment using that tag and then verify the full list — VEC handles deduplication automatically.
Subscriber count vs. credits charged
The subscriber count surfaced in the picker is what AWeber reports through their API, which counts only confirmed (opted-in) subscribers by default. Pending and unsubscribed contacts are excluded from that count. The credits estimate at the bottom of the modal uses the same number, so what you see is a tight bound on what you will be charged. Duplicate removal (toggled on by default) lowers the actual spend further.
Refreshing list data
Click the circular refresh icon at the top of the modal to force a re-query of the AWeber API. Use this whenever you have just created a new list in AWeber, run a large import, or otherwise expect the subscriber counts to have shifted.
After picking the list
Choose Verify Only (default, AWeber untouched) or Clean List Automatically. The latter brings up the per-category cleanup settings covered in the action-options FAQ. Start the import, and you are redirected to Uploads & Results to watch progress.
Troubleshooting list selection
- List does not appear — your AWeber API token may not have read access on that list. Regenerate the token at AWeber → My Account → Integrations → AWeber API.
- Subscriber count shows zero — the list exists but has no confirmed subscribers. VEC blocks the Import button to save you a wasted call.
- Modal stuck on Loading — refresh the page and re-open the modal. If the issue persists, the AWeber API may be rate-limiting your account.
