How do I disconnect or revoke the ActiveCampaign integration?
Removing the ActiveCampaign integration from Valid Email Checker takes two steps if you want a clean break: delete the connection on our side, then revoke the API key inside ActiveCampaign. Doing only the first is enough for most teams, but security-conscious accounts should always do the second.
Step 1: delete the connection on our side
- Sign into VEC and open Integrations from the sidebar.
- Find the ActiveCampaign row in the Connected Integrations table.
- Click the three-dot menu at the end of the row.
- Choose Delete. A confirmation modal asks you to type or confirm the connection name.
- Click Delete in the confirmation. The connection vanishes immediately.
Deleting the connection also removes the sync history associated with it. Past verification jobs that ran through this integration stay in your Uploads & Results page as standalone records — they are not tied to the connection anymore.
Step 2: revoke the API key in ActiveCampaign
- Sign into ActiveCampaign.
- Open Settings → Developer.
- Find the API Key you used when connecting to VEC.
- Generate a new key (this invalidates the old one automatically) or contact ActiveCampaign support if the dashboard does not surface a revoke action.
What happens to in-flight verifications?
If a verification is actively importing contacts from ActiveCampaign at the moment you delete the connection, that job continues to completion using the credentials it already cached for the run. Subsequent jobs will fail until you reconnect — see the ActiveCampaign integration guide for the reconnect steps. Results from completed runs remain accessible from Uploads & Results indefinitely.
Reconnecting later
You can connect the same ActiveCampaign account again at any time by going to Integrations → Connect Integration → ActiveCampaign. The new connection is treated as fresh — it has no link to the deleted one. Pair this disconnection workflow with the broader integrations overview for context on multi-account setups.
Team-member-created connections
If a team member connected ActiveCampaign on a shared account, the connection appears with a small Users badge in the Provider column. Owner accounts can still delete the connection. Team members can delete connections they created themselves but not those of other members or the owner.
